Graduation day - Celebrated on 6th of March 2010.
It was time to bid adieu to yet another batch of our young graduates from
the portals of this institution for the batch of 2009 -10.
Our distinguished guest for the evening was Dr.H.C. Sharatchandra, Former Chairman, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board who presided over the function.
The traditional invocation and lighting of the lamp was followed by an impressive Investiture Ceremony. The leaders of 2009-10, ceremoniously handed over their respective flags to the new leaders of 2010-2011. The new Student Council pledged their solidarity to the institution in the oath-taking ceremony.
Reading from the Holy Scriptures - the Bhagvad Gita, the Bible, the Quran, and the Gurugranth Sahib was very touching. Later on parents of the graduating students shared their views about their wards’ education at our institution. They spoke highly of the Kodava Samaja who have dedicated themselves to the institute. The award presentation to the best outgoing students for the academic year etc. formed a part of the programme. Our Chief Guest addressed the gathering with a memorable speech which was heartening and inspiring. The highlights of the evening’s programme was the ‘Jyothidhan Ceremony’ wherein the earthen lamps were being lit in darkness which was a captivating moment where students walked past “From Darkness to Light” (our school motto). The moment was poignant as they sang ‘Karunaalu Baabelake’ , ‘Deepam jyothi parabrahma’ and ‘ Asathoma Sadhgamaya’.
