    Assessments & Promotions
Acquisition and Application of knowledge is the essence of education. So, continuous and comprehensive evaluation is done to bring out the best in each child.

Assessments are carried out as follows:

The curriculum is divided into 2 parts, Part A and Part B.

Part A (Languages + Core Subjects)

The Semester Examinations are conducted for a maximum of 50 marks and Unit Tests are conducted for a maximum of 25 marks.
  • Two examinations are held in a year ie, one in the month of September and the other in the month of March.
  • Four Unit Tests are held in between the Semester examinations.
  • Oral exams are also conducted as per the instructions of the board.
  • Class X will have a mid-term exam, three Unit Tests and two Preparatory exams before their Board Examination.
Total marks obtained by the students in each subject will be converted into grades and the grades are classified as follows:

  90% - 100%
  75% - 89%
  60% - 74%
  50% - 59%
  30% - 49%
  Below 30%

Equal importance is given to Part B, which includes Value / Moral Education, Life Skills, SUPW, Computers and Projects.

The Marks Obtained by the Students are converted into Grades as follows:

  75% - 100%
  50% - 74%
  Below 50%

Promotion Criteria

A student must secure a minimum of C+ grade in Part 'A', in both the semester exams in all the subjects and a minimum of 'B' grade in Part B. Only then is the child eligible for promotion to the next class.
